Question: What is mutual funds?

Answer:

The mutual fund is a separate property complex comprising the assets transferred by the trustor(s) to a management company for trust management on the condition that such assets will be pooled with assets of other trustors, and the assets received in the course of such management, with the share in title to such assets certified by a security issued by the management company.

Question: What is investment share?

Answer:

The investment share is a registered security certifying its holder’s share in title to assets comprising the unit investment fund, the right to require the management company to ensure proper trust management of the unit investment fund, the right to receive cash indemnity in case of termination by the unit investment fund of the trust management contract with all the investment shareholders of this unit investment fund (termination of the unit investment fund).

Question: What is closed-ended mutual fund?

Answer:

Closed-ended mutual fund is a fund in which investment shareholders are not entitled to require the management company to terminate the UIF trust management contract before its expiration date, unless otherwise provided for in the Federal Law on Investment Funds.
